Primrose cottage has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and a great deal of effort has gone into making it a very comfortable, year round holiday home. All work is fully compliant with UK Building regulations.

Primrose cottage is situated in a stunning location, opposite Bude Canal and 100 yards from Summerleaze Beach and Bude Breakwater.

To the rear of the property is a well maintained garden and we are happy for you to bring pets with you. We are 100m from the Cornish coastal footpath.

We do not offer facilities for enlargement, or colour change.

All emails are monitored and answered seven days a week.

We are available by telephone during office hours or in person at The Gallery, Belle Vue Avenue, Bude. We have an answer machine for out of hours calls.

We do not offer information materials in Braille.

Before arrival of a confirmed client we are happy to give advice about local events, activities, tide times, surf school and surf equipment hire. As well as standard promotional literature we can also provide information about public transport routes and availability of accessible taxis.

Equipped with 20 years of local knowledge we are happy to inform you about local shops, pubs, restaurants, and places of interest.

On arrival we provide a welcome pack containing – bread, milk, eggs, butter, tea, coffee, biscuits, wine.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

The cottage has private parking for one car.

There is front and rear access to a vehicle once it is parked.

There is an outdoor light and this will be switched on for clients arriving in the dark.

Clients bringing dogs are asked to bring their own dog basket and bowl.

There is no signage provided that is tactile, Braille, reflective etc.
There is no porterage or assistance offered to and from cars, taxis, etc.

We do, however, make every attempt to welcome clients on arrival, and that extends to generally assisting them where required.

There are no ramps or external hand rails.

For clients arriving at an anti-social hour we have installed a key safe to the left of the front door 127 cm. Clients will be informed of code to key safe on receipt of final payment.

Parking area is paved, level and even.

There is street parking if required.

The front door is 76 cm wide.

It has one step of 8 cm

The door handle is at 109 cm

The ‘Primrose Cottage’ sign is clearly visible from the road.


The front hall has a tiled. It leads to the Kitchen, dining room, stairway and sitting room.
